Bumping this thread to draw attention to a few facts.

When people interested in joining this forum are completing the application form, they must take their time and be careful. In particular if you are being asked to remove something from a field. The automated process is designed to reject BOTs so relies on a human factor, but that in itself requires you read carefully and follow the instruction carefully. Many hundreds of applications have been rejected in the past few months - its a given that some of those where from legit people who simply did not do something right. Once you fill in the form and are deemed "human" acceptance of your application is instant. The application tests are not an intelligence test or a trick, its simply a way to avoid unwanted spam. But if you keep getting rejected you can always email me for help.

I have installed a faster and more secure forum registration process on this website.

Users will now be able to self activate their new account and start using the forum immediately, just be sure to follow the simple instructions on the registration form carefully. It is designed to deny BOTs.

Anyone viewing the forum who is not a member (and then not logged in) will see very little of the main forum index - most of the forum sections are hidden from view, until members are logged in. Visitors will see headlines of the last 12 posts on the website main page, but not be able to access any that are not for public viewing. There are also additional hidden sections with the members forum that can only be viewed by Server Admins, Account supporters and myself.

But feel free to apply for forum membership - it is quicker these days - no activation emails etc....
